Leather, Alcantara, suede and light-coloured seats each react differently. An all-purpose cleaner strong enough for a rubber mat will strip the finish off a leather bolster. The surface is identified first and treated with what suits it.
Dirt and body oils come off first — conditioner over dirt just seals it in.
Worked into the leather by hand, with attention to bolsters and seams where it wears first.
Wiped back so the seat is left matte and dry to the touch, not greasy.
